Journey Through the Wildwood

I held onto this deck for a long time before giving it a good look.  Why change, when what you are doing works well?  My lifelong loyalty to my 1972 Hoi Polloi tarot deck really prevented me from getting to know any of the other decks in my collection, for many years.  But, in an attempt to offer querents other reading options, I opened The Wildwood Tarot book and READ IT.

WOW. It isn’t just the cards themselves are born of pre-Celtic European mythology, which I happen to love.  It’s that I soon found a new relationship with the cards I have difficulties with from the more general Ryder-Waite style.  I often struggle with the traditional, often dogmatic inferences of The Heirophant, for instance, but resonate deeply with The Ancestor‘s reminder to learn from the mistakes of lessons learned.

I have the idea to take a real journey into the Wildwood Tarot, and thought it would be best to do a 3-card reading each week and look for the energies there.  I hope to share this journey here, and on my Facebook Page, for any who wish to walk along with me.

I wish you blessings.
